To commemorate World Water Day, Għajn (The National Water Conservation Awareness Centre ) opened its doors to the public with a jam packed programme that included: community discussions on water conservation, where visitors could offer their views as well as learn about modern water conservation initiatives, such as the New Water Programme. There were also sessions for the youngsters with interactive games that dealt with water and water conservation. The public had the opportunity to interact with the staff at Għajn and were shown the many interactive games and hardware used in conjunction with our educational activities. The favourite amongst the public was no doubt the interactive sand boxes that had children queuing for repetitive sessions. Other fun activities included a bouncy castle, face painting, animations as well as arts and crafts. This fun filled event also included a brass bands playing throughout the day as well as young band that played many modern hits throughout as well. The event closed off with various discourses from officials from The Energy and Water Agency as well as the Ministry for Water and Energy.
