The 2019 Open Week at the Għajn: National Water Conservation and Awareness Centre was held on the 24th to the 28th April. Over 650 people visited the Centre for the 4-day event. Educational tours around the Centre where being held every half hour throughout the day. Children that visited the Centre together with their parents/guardians could enjoy the educational interactive animation sketches that were being held in the outside theatre together with the outside pirate ship bouncy game. Face painting and the interactive sandboxes where amongst the favourite activities for the younger audiences, Adults that visited the event could attend a series of talks on water management and the water cinema where a series of short video clips on water saving and awareness where being run throughout the 4-day event. On Saturday and Sunday visitors to the event could also enjoy a series of band marches by local leading brass band musicians. The event closed off with various discourses from officials from The Energy and Water Agency as well as a speech by the Hon. Minister for Water and Energy.
